The Battalion sports day was held today at Pitreavie playing fields, where we had 79 competitors from five companies participating, with many parents, officers and friends showing up to support the boys competing.
Before we head off for camp, I wanted to contact everybody to thank them for their part in what must have been one of the busiest and best weekends for the Company in many a long year.
The battalion sports was held on the 17th of May this year, with a number of boys from both the Junior and Company Sections taking part, there was a tremendous team spirit and effort was shown on the day and this was reflected in the results.
Last Saturday (26th April) the 4th Dunfermline band competed at the Scottish National Bands Championships in Motherwell. There are three classes in which brass bands can compete: Novice, Contest and Championship. After winning the Novice class last year and being asked to “play up” in the Contest Class and coming second. We competed in the Contest Class again this year.
